Since the outbreak of Covid-19 and following government instruction to close operations, we have been working hard behind the scenes to implement changes in the way we operate. These significant but necessary changes, take precedent to the well being of our staff and customers on a day to day basis.
For the foreseeable future we are changing the way our customers buy cars. The changes are designed to heed advice and respect social distancing, which will in turn eliminate the possibility of virus transmission during your car buying experience. Quality and transparency are the heart of RDM Direct, these key values will remain at the forefront of the way we conduct business. Though our showroom & forecourt being closed to the public and our customers (until instructed otherwise), we are proud to introduce ‘Contactless Collection’ & ‘Contactless Home Delivery’.
Lock-down measures in place mean our valued customers are still unable to browse our forecourt and test drive vehicles of interest. As of Wednesday 13th May, the government have given authority for customers to frequent our premises and collect vehicles contact free. With this in mind, we are able to facilitate the reservation of a vehicle remotely and collection on site, without any need to enter the showroom and our sales offices. The whole transaction is and will remain contact free. Without a doubt the changes within our industry are vast and we are confident your needs will be totally satisfied during your car buying experience.
Contactless Home Delivery
RDM Direct are now offering a facility whereby customers can choose the vehicle of interest and have it delivered to your door (Contactless Home Delivery), at a time when is most convenient. This move will also factor in a potential part exchange, as well as financing options when applicable. The transaction will mean prior to the vehicle being delivered, all usual preparation measures will be completed including: a thorough mechanical inspection, 12 month MOT (if the existing MOT is less than 6 months) and a full valet. We trust with our contactless home delivery; you can buy your next car from us with absolute confidence.
During the preparation of the vehicle, our staff will be taking precautions utilising PPE and completing their work with social distancing in mind. Once the vehicle has had its final valet, it will be carefully disinfected and left untouched for 24 hours. At the point of delivery, our partners will once again: respect social distancing, use necessary PPE and disinfect the vehicle once unloaded off the transporter. We are wholly confident this process will prove most effective during your car buying experience, eradicating the chance of virus transmission.
